The Fraunhofer Institute of Optoelectronics Microsystems has developed many communication module IP cores based on years of rich experience in IP core, ASIC and FPGA design, which have been adopted by more than 150 companies worldwide. At the beginning of this year, they released a series of ultra-low latency time sensitive network (TSN) IP core controllers that meet the requirements of vehicle regulations to support compliance with ISO26262 (the international road vehicle functional safety standard) and ASIL D (the highest vehicle safety and integrity) Level), and demonstrated on-site at the Automotive Ethernet Congress in February this year.
These IP core controllers certified by international vehicle regulations can greatly shorten the system development and certification process, because all functions (including necessary safety functions) have been implemented and fully tested. This not only guarantees the functional safety of the car to the greatest extent, but also reduces the cost and time in system development to a minimum.
