With a combined workforce of almost 300,000 employees, plastics is one of Germany’s major industrial sectors. The industry also enjoys a strong position on the international stage, due in no small part to its productive research performance. At this year’s “K” trade fair, the world’s leading industry event for plastics, a total of 11 Fraunhofer Institutes will be exhibiting innovative, sustainable and efficient concepts, developments and solutions for the plastics industry (October 16–23; booth SC01, hall 7).
